Dr. Yasien Mohamed is Emeritus Professor of Arabic Studies and Islamic Philosophy, Department of Foreign Languages, University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He has authored over hundred peer-reviewed articles on classical Islamic philosophy, Islamic psychology, Qur’anic ethics, and modern Islamic thought. He is a founding member of the International Association of Islamic Psychology and recipient of the international award-winning book The Path to Virtue: the Ethical philosophy of al-Raghib al-Isfahani. He currently teaches a postgraduate module in Contemporary Islamic Thought at the International Peace College of South Africa.
