Dr. Naved Bakali

Naved Bakali completed his Ph.D. in Educational Studies from McGill University, Canada. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Education at the American University in Dubai. Naved also serves as a non-resident Research Fellow with Trends Research and Advisory; he is an educational advisor to the National Council of Canadian Muslims and a Research Affiliate with the Canadian Network for Research on Terrorism, Security and Society. He has published extensively in the field of Islamophobia, critical approaches to countering violent extremism, and Muslim youth identity in the post 9/11 context. He is the author of Islamophobia: Understanding anti-Muslim Racism Through the Lived Experiences of Muslim Youth.
