Our Muslim Youth Are Hurting

Muslim Youth are in a vulnerable position, surrounded by rampant Islamophobia in the media. One of the most damaging effects of this is internalized Islamophobia.

We conducted 30 in-depth interviews to document the influence of internalized discrimination on young Muslims’ religious identity, and what we found was heartbreaking.
