Dhul-Hijjah (the Month of Hajj and 12th month of the Islamic lunar year) is the overlooked gem of the Islamic calendar. Its blessings are little known relative to Ramadan, but in many ways it’s even more full of opportunities to benefit and achieve a full roster of deeds through increased dhikr, charity, prayer, and good works.
According to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the first 10 days of this month are a special time for devotion. During these days, preparations are underway for those who are undertaking the pilgrimage. For those who are not traveling for the pilgrimage, this is a special time to remember God and spend extra time in devotion and good deeds.
The significance of the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah is the opportunity to sincerely repent, get closer to God, and combine acts of worship in a way that is impossible at any other time of the year. This year, we're offering two ways to help you rediscover Dhul-Hijjah and take part in this special time:
1. Join us daily to learn more about the virtues of Dhul-Hijjah and discover a game plan to make the most of these precious days from home. Each day, you will receive our Virtues of Dhul-Hijjah episodes along with a daily deed to complete.
2. Set up automated donations so you can give a little each day and gain the blessings that goes along with generosity.
We look forward to embarking on this journey with you.
